郭前村是横河镇的行政村，村民委员会设在郭前村，村名即取自驻地。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，现名是1999年改设村民委员会时由横河镇政府命名、县政府审批而定。此前，1986年是横河镇郭前管理区，1983年11月是横河区郭前乡，1958年10月起是横河公社的郭前大队；新中国成立后曾设九区郭前乡，民国时期属第九区七保，清代归善政巡检司。[1]
荣誉[edit]
郭前村在文旅方面获得多项认定：广东省文化和旅游厅在2019年9月将其列入首批「广东省文化和旅游特色村」，2020年8月它进入第二批全国乡村旅游重点村名单；2023年11月，又在广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村之列。[1]
