下河村是横河镇的行政村，位于河流下游，与上河村相对。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，明代初年谭氏从本区十字巷迁到径口定居，后来陆续有外地人迁入；因与上河有上下游之分，此处在下游，称下河。[1]它在民国时期属第九区智勇乡，新中国成立后属第四区横河乡；1958年10月起是横河公社下河大队，1983年11月是下河乡，1986年是下河管理区，1999年3月起称下河村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，下河村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
