地理环境[edit]
村域面积10.02平方千米，高山盘地与半丘陵相间，土壤偏沙。红岗山上的响水洒山泉已蓄成山间小湖，泉水终年不断，夏季是人们避暑的去处。[1]
人口民族[edit]
2008年全村人口1716人（538户），分散在14条自然村、14个村民小组，有水田面积1751亩、旱地面积383亩、山地面积8020亩、鱼塘面积174亩。[1]
全村由26个姓氏的村民组成，与虾山村并列为镇内姓氏最多的村。[2]
经济[edit]
据记载，横盘村在横陂一带较早推行联产计酬生产责任制，时间在1980年底。此后，横盘小学于1993年改成楼房教学，村道水泥路则靠1995年、2001年、2002年三批上级资金陆续铺成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年为联合社，1958年成为生产大队，1984年改称乡人民政府，1986年起改称村民委员会，1989年又称管理区；1998年10月，恩平市政府批准定名横盘村民委员会。[1]
