何家田村是横河镇的行政村，村名与何姓开垦的梯田有关。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，约五百多年前何氏在此定居，开出一千多亩梯田，村名由此而来。[1]这里在清代归善政巡检司，民国时期属第九区一保，新中国成立后设九区何家田乡。此后：1958年10月成为公社大队，1983年称乡，1986年称管理区，1999年起定名何家田村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，何家田村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
