据博雅地名网所载村情，全村面积约4.3平方千米，耕地798亩、山地5417亩，设3个村民小组，总人口896人。[1]

以种植业为主，优质水稻和蔬菜是村民的主要收入来源，种辣椒技术好。[1]

石龙岗、沙岗两个村民小组于2009年分别被评为生态文明村、省卫生村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国前该地隶高要县二区，1952年划入六区。1955年称松坑社，归莲塘区江南乡；到1958年成立松坑大队，隶新桥公社；1959年起转隶活道公社；1969年松坑大队分设松坑、刘村两个大队；至1983年改乡，1987年设村民委员会，1989年称管理区，1998年恢复村民委员会。[2]
