博雅地名网转述的村介绍称，2009年的全村经济总收入为1226万元，折合人均2791元。冬闲田种四季豆、青瓜、红烟和香蕉，面积达800亩，年产值200多万元；村民还养猪、牛、鸡、鸭并挖塘养鱼，大村水库的立体养殖场纳入了茂名市「菜篮子工程」；外出务工的有600多人，创收近600万元。该页称全村九成以上农户已告别泥砖房。[2]
