水西村在电白区黄岭镇东北部，离镇政府8.8公里；辖10个村民小组，在册800户、3800人，总面积4.61平方公里，耕地1700亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1953年有水西乡；1958年变为水西生产大队，1983年重新改乡，1987年设村委会，1989年改管理区，1999年再称村委会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
全村每年种两造水稻，共2000多亩；红烟、四季豆、青瓜、红辣椒几种经济作物种了一千多亩，一年产值近百万元。博雅地名网转述的村介绍还说，村民外出务工近1000人，劳务收入近800万元，大部分农户已建起楼房。[2]
村镇荣誉[edit]
2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
