下平山村在电白区黄岭镇南部，离镇政府约7公里；辖12个村民小组，在册559户、2750人，总面积6.8平方公里，耕地1800亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1983年起称下平山乡，其后依次是村委会（1987年）、管理区（1989年），1999年复称村委会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
村里种水稻、荔枝、龙眼、花生，冬季种四季豆、青瓜、淮山等外运蔬菜。博雅地名网转述的村介绍说，这类蔬菜每年种1300多亩，每亩纯收入3000元；村里也种番薯、甜玉米，并输出劳务。[2]
