乾塘村是广东省湛江市坡头区乾塘镇下辖的行政村，镇名即源于此村一带的大塘。省级文物保护单位乾塘陈氏大宗祠在村内[1]。
地名由来[edit]
村内有口大塘，位于陈氏宗祠的西北方，在八卦中属乾位，因此叫乾塘[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
乾塘在1952年立乡，归吴川县第八区。六年后乾塘乡拆出米稔，成为乾塘、米稔两个大队，同在坡头公社之下；乾塘公社在1963年成立后，乾塘大队转归新公社[1]。
1983年5月，两个大队又并为一乡，属乾塘区公所。其后依次改为村委会（1987年）、管理区（1990年），1999年3月起为村民委员会[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
乾塘陈氏大宗祠始建于明代，清至民国时期历有修葺，为三进四合院式建筑，占地约1076平方米；2010年被广东省人民政府公布为「第六批广东省文物保护单位」[2][3]。
荣誉[edit]
2022年9月，乾塘村被认定为湛江市文明村[1]。
