历史沿革[edit]
村名取村子规模大之意。[1]1949年12月它归凤象乡；1956年12月起属双郭乡，1958年4月随双郭乡一并划入凤村乡，同年10月叫农战大队。此后1983年成大村乡，1987年成管理区，1998年成立村民委员会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
清任书室原是村中梁姓祠堂，嘉庆十八年（1813年）动工，朝东，用砖、木、石建成，三开间三进，占地477.89平方米；头门有花岗岩门框和木雕，墙上有约100幅彩绘，头门挂着一块标明为边纵部队旧址的木牌。[2]2019年4月，它被广东省公布为省级文物保护单位（该省第九批）。[2][3]博雅地名网另记其为县级文物保护单位。[1]
经济[edit]
村在丘陵山区，旱涝保收，多数村民有柑桔基地；2017年10月，大村获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「第一批广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
