大村（行政村全称大村村）隶属高州市荷花镇，是镇下辖的行政村，位于粤桂边境。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，此地在粤桂交界，山高林密、路途崎岖，从松柏根往南走到金墩峰下，地势忽然开阔平坦，如一马平川，先人以为适宜安居，称之为“大川”；当地话里“川”与“村”同音，写成大村。[1]
解放前叫大村乡，1961年后为大村大队，1982年起称管理区，1983年改设乡，1986年改设农村管理区，1999年起为村民委员会。[1]2019年9月，大村列入「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位的2018年度名单。[1]
