南社村是汕头市澄海区溪南镇的行政村，原是南砂乡的一部分，1961年南砂乡拆分为东、西、南、北四社，因地处乡的南部而得名。[1][2] 南砂乡又称义积寨，据传早在南宋建炎三年（1129年）就有先民落脚，2016年认定为广东省古村落。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

南砂乡最初隶海阳县苏湾都，成化十三年（1477年）改隶饶平县，到嘉靖四十二年（1563年）澄海置县时才改隶澄海县。[2] 据清嘉庆《林氏族谱》，南砂乡创自宋元符年间；百度百科则称元末明初为防盗寇筑土寨，名义积寨，后改南砂寨。[2][3] 1921年废都设区后立南砂乡；1946年与南畔洲、明德里、仙市并成一个南砂乡；1950年6月，南砂连同明德等乡改称新联乡，1951年11月新联乡撤销，南砂乡恢复。[2]

南砂乡有20余个姓氏，林、陈、张、叶、郑等姓人口较多，有华侨捐资兴学的传统，农历正月十九有「游灯」的习俗。[3] 乡里的承启园是东、西、南、北四社共有的农村文史馆，在南社村花园巷，2002年元旦建成开放，馆内分南砂历史、革命传统、历代乡贤三区，2009年成为澄海区的爱国主义教育基地。[3][4]

人口与经济[edit]

村在义丰河南岸，324国道和金鸿公路之间，总面积1745亩，住宅用地300亩，耕地1385亩，工业用地60亩，934户3493人。[1] 南社村种植葡萄，2020年8月列入首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村；2007年获汕头市生态示范村称号，2008年获广东省卫生先进村称号；2023年4月又进入2022年广东省乡村治理示范村的创建名单；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]
