埭头村是汕头市澄海区溪南镇的行政村，324国道从村中穿过，四周是上岱美村、海岱村、南砂乡和银砂乡片。[1][3] 「埭」与「坝」同义，因村在海滩坝陇之首而得名；据传北宋末期（1120年）建村。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
埭头最初隶海阳县苏湾都，成化十三年（1477年）改隶饶平县，到嘉靖四十二年（1563年）澄海置县时才改隶澄海县；清嘉庆年间，埭头与三岱美正式分开称呼。[2] 1932年设埭头乡，1946年并入银砂乡，1953年与海岱合称埭头乡，1956年起先后并入塘陇乡、水东乡。[2]
经济[edit]
博雅地名网所录村情写作全村总面积约313.7公顷，6252人，耕地约3000亩，2009年的工农业总产值是5011万元。[3] 村里中小企业十余家，主要行业有塑料、服装、纸品、五金和汽车培训，划分沟西工业区、神仙园工业区、农业生产园区和住宅区四个片区。[3] 埭头村在2020年、2021年、2022年的淘宝村名单上都有名。[1]
文化[edit]
村里建有蓬莱公园和篮球场供村民活动，并设有教育基金奖励师生。[3]
