云英村是汕头市澄海区溪南镇东南部的行政村，在义丰河出海口南侧，是镇里最靠近南海的纯农村。[1][3] 清朝末年建村，原包括牛埔（又名云浦）和英台两个小村落，1953年独立成乡时各取一字，定名云英。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
云英原属银砂大乡，1946年随之并入银砂乡；1951年同和洲村（现属东里镇）组成和浦乡；1953年单独设乡，定名云英乡，归第三区；1956年又与和洲、南洲合为和洲乡；1957年划归溪南乡；1959年设云英生产大队，1984年1月设云英乡。[2]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网所录村情写作3891人，村域2260亩，可耕地为1121亩，养殖水面874亩，其余265亩；村集体收入主要来自把养殖水面发包给村民。[1][3]
