龙溪村在汕头市潮阳区西胪镇东北角的半丘陵地区，是革命老区村，面积3.086平方千米，有2178人、355户[1]。

地名与历史[edit]

原名竹山都内八乡马厝寮村，创于明万历年间（1573—1619年），由福建南迁移民聚居而成。相传宋代潮阳和平马氏祖墓葬于此，先民为其守墓，墓旁搭草寮居住，故称马厝寮。1949年改名龙溪，取溪如蟠龙、山川秀美之意；1961年编为生产大队，1984年改乡，1999年设村委会[1][2]。

经济[edit]

耕地和山地共4250亩，以杨梅、姜薯等果林种植为主；2013年年人均收入5003元。2019年9月入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位[1]。
