历史沿革[edit]
龙溪在明代建村，是大沥保远进户41图六甲所辖的96乡之一。1959年4月自南海县划出，进入广州市郊，隶属鹤洞公社；1961年11月，鹤洞公社一度拆成鹤洞、东漖、海龙三社，龙溪成为海龙公社的生产大队，当年下半年三社复合，龙溪仍归鹤洞公社。1983年12月公社改称鹤洞区公所，龙溪归其下的乡人民政府；1987年1月区公所撤销，改设东漖镇。[1]
地名与传说[edit]
当地教师介绍，相传盐步司前有一条石头龙脉斜穿而来，到龙溪一带抬头结穴，人们为镇龙建了镇龙塔，门额“蟾龙砥柱”四字至今保存在祠堂中。[2]
文化[edit]
龙溪河涌纵横，平州河、花地河、大沙河流经附近。龙溪沙溪景龙舟赛已有50多年历史，每年有数十支广佛龙舟队参加，设有传统龙折返竞速项目。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，龙溪社区进入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单；2024年11月，入选「2024年广州市充分就业社区（村）」名单。[1]
