杨屋村在赤坭镇的镇区中心地带，省道S114线旁，面积约1.3平方千米，总人口387人（博雅地名网，未注明年份）。因村民多姓杨而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前是独立的小村庄；1949年同客家聚居的长流水（今苗圃场）组成低级社，1958年又同农场（今剑岭村）并成高级社，此后归农场大队管，1972年成为农场一队；1984年划入赤坭居委会，1994年另设杨屋管理区，后设杨屋村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

集体收入主要靠物业出租。村在2021年、2022年的“淘宝村”名单中榜上有名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2022年度广东省卫生村（2023年5月授予）；广州市2024年度充分就业社区（村）（2024年11月认定）。[1]
