历史沿革[edit]
据说唐代时村民由南海石高村迁来。土地改革于1952年完成，1958年成立人民公社，1983年改称乡，1987年设立横沙村委会，先隶属赤坭区公所，当年3月起归赤坭镇人民政府管辖。[1]
经济[edit]
集体收入来自发包鱼塘、水田、土地以及出租厂房；农业以水稻、花生和四大家鱼养殖为主。[1]据百度百科，2025年村里新增一处5G智控无土栽培蓝莓园。[2]
