珊瑚村在赤坭镇的西南部，面积约3.62平方千米，下辖7个村民小组，博雅地名网载总人口1412多人（未注明年份）。[1]村名的由来是：村委会驻地靠近一片珊瑚林，村庄的分布又像珊瑚，取“珊瑚般美丽”之意。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1957年为珊瑚农业高级社，1958年公社化时改为珊瑚大队；1962年曾与五星乡合并，后又分开。1987年设立珊瑚村委会，先隶属赤坭区公所，当年3月起归赤坭镇人民政府管辖。村委会原设在下坑村，后迁至六夫岭。[1]
经济[edit]
村在丘陵山岗间，沿山前大道赤坭路段分布，距镇区约19公里，在镇里属较偏远的一个。集体经济以种植水稻、花生和鱼塘养殖四大家鱼为主。[1]
2019年度广东省卫生村（2019年10月入选名录）。[1]
