锦山村在赤坭镇的北部，培正大道旁，面积约4.8平方千米，下辖6个村民小组，约1056人（未注明年份），距镇区约4公里。[1]此地原名鸡签山，因觉得名字不雅，取近音并含“锦绣河山”之意，改称锦山。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清嘉庆十四年（1809年），村里宋姓父子同中进士，为光宗耀祖，将村后山岭称为锦星山。新中国成立后一度是经济作物区，称农场大队；1961年皇母、集益、锦山三个大队并为一体，沿用锦山之名，1984年改乡，1987年初重新单独设村，3月划归赤坭镇。[1]
经济[edit]
村里山上种荔枝、龙眼、黄皮等优良品种水果，并发展农业生态旅游，同时养殖四大家鱼和瘦肉型猪。[1]
著名人物[edit]
宋士台（1894—1953），锦山村人，出身官僚家庭，毕业于保定军校第六期和陆军大学将校班，参加过北伐战争。[2]
