丰群村在赤坭镇的北部，面积约3.0平方千米，下辖9个村民小组，博雅地名网载1596人（未注明年份），距镇区约6公里。[1]土地改革时以枫林背对为中心，联合附近的自然村，以“枫”谐“丰”，取“自然村成群、社员丰衣足食”之意，定名丰群。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
丰群之名定于1952年；此后几经分合：1962年并入田心大队（与石坑同），1974年分出，1984年再并为田心乡，直到1986年底才独立。1987年设立丰群村委会，先隶属赤坭区公所，当年3月起归赤坭镇人民政府管辖。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
王永名墓位于狮形岭（城隍爷山），年代为1702年，属古墓葬，列入第七批广州市文物保护单位（2008年12月公布），保护范围是墓边线向外10米。[1]
经济[edit]
集体收入来自织带厂承包和鱼塘出租。山上种速生桉，水田改种绿化苗木，鱼塘养殖四大家鱼，绿化苗木已成为主导产业。[1]
