港头村是广州市花都区花东镇东面的行政村，在花都大道旁，面积约2平方千米，下辖4个村民小组，村委会介绍的总人口为1800人（未注明年份），离花东镇约10公里，处半丘陵地带。村内的港头古村，2014年11月列入第三批中国传统村落名录[1]。

地名由来[edit]

村坐北向南，大坑河、小坑河由东北流向西南，在村前汇入流溪河，形成一个港湾，村舍建在其上方，故叫港头。当地有「三水朝北，四水归源」的说法[1]。

历史[edit]

村里的曾氏自称是曾子后裔。其中一位曾晞尝，南宋淳熙五年（1178年）中进士，先从江西庐陵县迁到从化太平场，又迁杨荷；因战功封粤东侯，赐地北岭，定居吉星村。此后连续五代有人中科举，第五代曾文孙（字希周，号岐石）于1351年中举，由吉星村迁到港头村[1]。

1987年设村委会，隶属北兴镇；2005年归花东镇[1]。

港头古村[edit]

港头古村位于古时花都的水陆交通要道上，村前的流溪河是广州通向北部地区的主要水路，河边建有货运码头[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2020年8月，港头村入选广东省首批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村（无花果）；2026年1月获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村[1]。
