吉星村是广州市花都区花东镇东面的行政村，村庄坐落在四面环山、地势低洼的丘陵地带，户籍人口750人、190户，外来人口约120人（村介绍，未注明年份），土地面积3600亩，其中山林2000亩^[1]。

地名由来与沿革[edit]

曾氏始祖曾晞常故乡在江西庐陵县吉阳村，村民取其「迼」字为头，加上地形像「鱼迳」，名为迼迳。后来嫌这两字难写难记、含义不佳，改用寓意「吉星拱照」的吉星^[1]。

南宋时期曾氏始祖在此定居，最早称迼阳村。1987年设迼迳村委会，隶属北兴镇；1993年11月花都市民政局将迼迳村改名吉星村；2005年归花东镇^[1]。

2010年起村里已无水稻种植，收入靠砖厂、鱼苗场和土地租金，村委会年度合同发包收入共12万元；对外只有一条5米宽的水泥主路连花都大道^[1]。
