秀塘村是广州市花都区花东镇的行政村，在永星路边，面积约2.3平方千米，下辖13个村民小组，村委会介绍的总人口为2200余人（未注明年份），地处丘陵^[1]。村民祖上来自新丰县，康熙年间迁到这里^[1]。

地名由来与沿革[edit]

村民的祖先由新丰县迁来，见此地四面环山，像一个风景秀丽的大池塘，因而叫秀塘。据记载，清康熙年间（公元1701年）从新丰县丰城镇双良村委会的双下庄迁来^[1]。

1927年发生「打六乡」事件，村民流离失所，在九湖村成立农会，到1930年才得以回乡。1987年1月花东区公所设秀塘村委会，3月归花东镇^[1]。

2009年的社会主义新农村建设改造了村里的居住环境。村里引入广州市花都空港经济发展有限公司建高新科技产业基地，形成以工业带动的发展模式^[1]。2020年至2022年列入「淘宝村」名单，2023年5月获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号^[1]。
