南坑村位于松溪县西南方，距县城12公里，村名取自村子所在的山坑。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

村子位于松溪县城南边的山坑处，因而得名南坑。[1]

村子的起源在清朝，隶属善政乡杉溪里十图。[1]

1941年，村归第二区署郑墩乡管辖，为其中的南坑保。1960年设郑墩公社南坑大队；1984年10月，大队改为村。[1]
