南坑村位于东田镇政府驻地北面约3.5公里，村委会设在祖厝，聚落分布在古迹山东麓伏牛山北麓的山谷间。[1][2]村内及周边山坡上分布着南坑窑址的宋元古窑遗址，该窑址于2006年被列为全国重点文物保护单位。[3][4][5]

地名由来[edit]

宋时这里有一座南坑山，明代吕姓在此开基，遂以山名作为村名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明、清时期归二十九都，民国时属燕山乡，解放初称南坑村。1958年公社化后为南坑大队，1984年归东田乡，1991年改为东田镇南坑村委会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

南坑窑址的窑址群分布在枪仔岭、顶南埔等多处山坡上，是宋元时期的古窑址，1977年被发现。[3][4]2006年，它被列为全国重点文物保护单位。[4][5]
