新村村在黎溪镇西部，东邻恒昌村，南接大坪村，西与清新区禾云镇相靠，北与大洞镇接壤，是革命老区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1952年，此地先后有「新山」「红星」两个联社。其后经过大队、乡政府、管理区等建制变化，1998年10月7日定为新村村委会，沿用至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村里有水泥道路直通村委会，并连接清新区的禾云一带，木材和竹材资源丰富，主产黑皮冬瓜和砂糖橘。[1]

人口民族[edit]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，新村村入选2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2021年12月，村里获广东省爱卫会授予「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号；2023年5月，上龙组获授「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
