东坑村位于广东省河源市连平县隆街镇，原名「东溪」。明弘治年间，叶氏宗祖自博罗迁来，在东坑老屋落居，后裔分为左右两族，各设一所小学。上世纪三十年代两校合并，因校名有争议，各取一字定为「东溪」，后改称「东坑」。[1]

沿革[edit]

1987年东坑大队改称管理区，1999年5月管理区撤销，此后由村委会管理。[1]

特产与荣誉[edit]

东坑生姜是隆街镇的特产之一。[2]

广东省爱卫会于2023年5月把2022年广东省卫生村称号赋予该村。2019年6月，该村收入第五批中国传统村落名录。[1]
