西山村在留隍镇南端，村民讲客家话，村落在海拔500米以上的山中，山上有释迦岽。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这里是原茶背镇的西部山区，1958年公社化时定名西山大队。[1]原为西山大队，1983年改为西山乡，1987年改为西山管理区，至1999年改为西山村村民委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村落在云雾缭绕的山中，水资源丰富。博雅地名网称释迦山海拔1200多米，山上多野生山茶，山上的释迦庵有大批潮汕游客来烧香。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年12月，西山村入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。[1]
  • 2019年9月公布的「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单中有该村。[1]
