西山村在番禺区化龙镇西南部，总面积2.1平方千米，村西有山，故名西山。村内以花卉种植为主，列入2020至2022年淘宝村名单。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明代，化龙镇东南村细圩的潘氏迁来，在一处山岗东南坡建村，村西有山，称西山。[1]1987年设立西山村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
博雅地名网所载村情称，全村462户、1310人，耕地1235亩，种花卉、养四大家鱼，收入主要来自土地和鱼塘发包。[1]西山村于2020年、2021年和2022年列入淘宝村名单；2019年9月列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
潘西庄家族墓在山门岗东北麓，明代，共12座墓，占地约678平方米，一部分保留明代灰沙方形墓的原貌，一部分是清代用花岗岩重修的交椅墓。[1]
