西山村隶属广东省广州市从化区鳌头镇，为镇辖行政村，村委会设在镇域西部。[1] 全村面积约14.3平方公里，村民小组共16个，村委会介绍的总人口为2010人（该介绍未注明年份）。村距从化城区约32公里，距鳌头镇中心镇区约12公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，1958年建立西山大队，到1983年12月改设为西山乡，到1987年1月改名西山村民委员会，此名沿用到现在。[1]

荣誉与名单

  • 2019年9月，西山村列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
  • 2026年1月，西山村被认定为「2025年广州市充分就业社区（村）」。[1]

经济[edit]

村里的农业格局为：水田种水稻、蔬菜、花生、蕃薯，鱼塘里养四大家鱼、塘基上养瘦肉型猪。[1]

从化区人民政府于2015年发布的文化遗产普查推荐名单（历史建筑与传统风貌建筑线索）中，列有本村的屈氏宗祠，共1处。名单所列只是普查线索，不等于已定级的文物。[2]
