村子坐落在一处较高的山坡上，故称高坡。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1957年至1959年间传湾、八埇两个合作社成立，归朋情管区；1960年起分设传湾、高坡两个大队，到1963年合并成高坡大队。1983年起叫高坡乡，1986年起叫农村管理区，1999年起由高坡村民委员会管理。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月，该村进入当年的省卫生村名录。[1]
