村面积约8平方千米，南临袂花江，分为8个村民小组：上村、下村、名利、塘口、高坡、岭旺、塘尾、埇仔[2]。
经济[edit]
种植业是主业，辅以养殖和建筑：稻田3000多亩，鱼塘等养殖1200多亩，其他作物800多亩；每年冬季种玉米1000亩以上，玉米是村里的特产[2]。
文化[edit]
村建有文化活动中心和文化广场，民间自发办起公益理事会、诗社、曲艺社与醒狮武术团[2]。顿谷各村的年例在正月初七，其中塘口、岑旺等村在三月初三、七月初七、十月十八还各有一次[3]。
