新安村是民安街道辖下的行政村，统计用城乡分类为村庄。[1]它的前身可追溯到1952年的逮遐乡；2005年7月，新安、后边、那何三个村委会合并，复称新安村委会。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

新安最初是1952年的逮遐乡。1961年建新安公社，辖新安、那何、龙湾、西湾四个大队；次年公社撤销，仅保留新安大队。1983年，新安、三星、那何、后巷四个大队合并，设新安乡；1987年起称管理区。[2]

1999年7月，新安管理区被拆成三个村委会：原新安单独一个，后边、西园、后巷三个自然村一个，调低、那何一个。2005年7月，其中新安、后边、那何三个村委会再次合并，复称新安村委会，沿用至今。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年1月，新安村入选湛江市2020年度全市文明村，也入选全市先进文明村；2026年3月，被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇。[1]
