地名由来与沿革[edit]
博雅地名网的解释是：本村从三盆、丹寮、后山三村合成的管理区里分出，故取“三”字，又寓意村民明理，合称三明。1958年这里是丹寮乡的三盆大队；1987年撤乡，成立三盆村民委员会；1989年同丹寮、后山两个村委会并成丹寮管理区；1999年管理区撤销，本村分出，设三明村委会，沿用至今。[1]
