龙江社区是广东省佛山市顺德区龙江镇的社区，在镇的北部，是龙江的旧城区，面积7.2平方千米[1][2]。这里就是龙江镇名称所指的老城，区内有人民南路、丰华北路、沿江路等主干道[1][2]。

历史沿革[edit]

龙江城区的称呼历代有变：汉晋至宋元称龙江村，明初称龙江堡，清光绪年间改龙江乡，1940年改龙江镇[1]。1987年10月成为龙江办事处，1990年改龙江街道办事处，2000年12月改龙江居委会，2003年设龙江社区居民委员会，沿用至今[1]。

人口与经济[edit]
