历史沿革[edit]
此地是沙冲河与潭江支流交汇处形成的沙丘，原写作「沙涌」，后简写为「沙冲」。南宋咸淳年间（1265—1274年），刘姓先人从南雄珠玑巷迁来立村。[1]民国时期到新中国成立初属大同乡，1952年单设沙冲乡，人民公社时期先并入大同管理区，1959年起自成大队；1984年改乡，1986年设村委会。[1]
经济[edit]
据博雅地名网，村有常住人口2850人，外来人口2000人，党员83人，种水稻、蔬菜，养鱼和生猪。[1]沙冲村在2020年、2021年和2022年入选淘宝村名单；同年10月，广东省农业农村厅将其认定为脐橙方面的「2022年广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」。[1]
