地理与人口[edit]
村在顺德南部，与新会、鹤山、南海、高明相邻，顺番快速公路和珠二环西线高速呈十字形穿过，西江支流从村边流过[2]。常住户籍982户，共4175人，外来人口4200人；农业用地3200亩，以养鱼为主，2008年股份社每股分红1000元[2]。
建设[edit]
2007年村里规划建设东海小学行政楼、东壁农贸市场、村卫生站综合楼、幼儿园和南兴河涌整治工程，总投资751万元；2009年又建大洲桥、官田嘴桥、东海大桥和华海公园等，总投资1000万元[2]。
荣誉[edit]
东海村在2020年至2022年连续三年列入阿里研究院等发布的淘宝村名单[1]。
2026年3月，东海村获认定为广东省「百千万工程」第三批典型村[1]。
