历史沿革[edit]
村落建于宋代末年，位于江河冲积而成的坦岸之西，故称坦西[1]。此地1950年归坦田乡，1958年为坦田大队；1961年坦东、坦西分设，1963年合并，1975年又分开。后经乡、村、管理区的变化，2001年9月设居委会[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
张氏九世祠在坦田大街，建于清同治至光绪年间，坐西南向东北，中路面阔三间12米、进深三进42米，有人物、花鸟、瑞兽灰塑屋脊，祠前翼墙墙楣嵌有“杏鸟齐鸣”“松鹤延年”等砖雕[2]。2006年10月25日列入第四批佛山市文物保护单位[2]。
