历史沿革[edit]
这里1950年归龙山乡；1952年，旺村、冈贝、冈头三村联合建农会，各取村名第一个字，定名旺岗，1999年设村委会[1]。
地理与人口[edit]
村位于镇中部：东靠镇道三联路，西北离325国道约1公里，南隔基塘与东海村相连，北面是金紫峰[2]。辖区有基塘1200亩，下设十个村民小组（新村、沙庆、三坊、茶园，以及长宁、螺圩、上村、城坊、石珠、龙光）；共840户、3503人常住，另有约6300名外来人口[2]。
荣誉[edit]
旺岗村在2020年至2022年连续三年列入阿里研究院等发布的淘宝村名单[1]。
2024年8月，旺岗村列入佛山市「百千万工程」第二批典型镇村；到2026年1月，又被评为广东省第二批典型村[1]。
