世埠社区是广东省佛山市顺德区龙江镇的社区，在镇区西南偏南1公里，面积2.1平方千米，据称是龙江建村最早的地方[1][2]。镇上的省级文物保护单位贞女桥在世埠一带[4]。

历史沿革[edit]

当地资料称，这里是龙江建村最早之处，居民世代居住在埠头，故名世埠；唐宋年间是龙江的商业与文化中心[2]。1950年属沙田乡，1958年成立人民公社，称世埠大队；1961年分为世埠、南福、西华、长路、龙首五片，1983年改世埠乡，1987年改世埠村，1990年改管理区，1998年改村民委员会，2000年改居委会，后来又称社区居委会[2]。

人口与经济[edit]

社区下辖沙田、龙首、南福、长路、西华五个片，设23个居民小组，有常住1727户、6913人[2]。世埠历来以桑基鱼塘为农业特色；2009年工农业总产值6.77亿元，增长11.62%[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

贞女桥位于世埠，南宋嘉定年间（1211年至1215年）兴建，长49.6米、宽3.5米，为广东省文物保护单位[3][4]。
