历史沿革[edit]
1927年，辖区内新桥市墟东面建成一座钢筋水泥的“积善桥”，沟通开平与鹤山两地村民，村名由此而来。清代属开平县古博都，新中国成立后属第十区桥头乡，1961年为月山公社桥头大队，1984年改乡人民政府，1989年改管理区；1993年撤县设市后归开平市月山镇，到1999年定名桥头村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
桥头村委会一带建有千亩规模的优质果、苗场。[3]
著名人物[edit]
“中华老字号”潘高寿的创始人潘百世、潘应世兄弟，是桥头萃龙村人。[2]
