新圩社区在汕头市潮南区两英镇中心地段，旧时潮阳、普宁、惠来三县的农副产品交易，就在这里的两英圩进行[1]。

名称与沿革[edit]

社区名来自圩市：两英大溪以北是老圩，溪南后建的圩围称新圩[1]。村子形成于明崇祯三年（1630年），当时是顾厝寮乡（今名古处）所辖六村之一[1]。

公社化时它自成新圩大队，1983年随永新乡，1986年改设居委会，1999年复称新圩居委会[1]。

社区3482人、636户，设7个居民小组；办有水果、肉菜、水产三个专业市场和两个工业区，2009年工农业总产值1.33亿元[1]。2026年1月，它同墙新社区一样入选百千万工程第二批广东省典型村[1]。
