新圩村属惠阳区平潭镇，因明末清初圩市迁到河边而得名；2023年入选广东“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，三角湖和新圩尾各为一村。解放初期这一带归良井管辖，1956年起划给平潭镇；1958年立新圩大队，下辖三角湖、新圩尾两个小组；之后名称依次为新圩乡（1983年）、新圩村委会（1987年）、新圩管理区（1989年），1999年定为村民委员会。^[1]

明末清初，西枝江河道变迁，给角湖圩的交通造成不便，圩市于是搬到河边，取名新圩。^[1]

2021年9月，新圩村入选第二批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」（淮山粉葛）；2022年1月，确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2023年11月，入选「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村；2024年4月，进入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村的创建名单。^[1]
