西新村是汕头市潮南区两英镇东侧的行政村，陈沙公路贯穿全境，是镇里规模较大的村居，针织服装为主导产业，2020年起多年入选淘宝村名单[1]。
名称与沿革[edit]
此地地势低凹，“凹”与“瓯”潮音相近，称瓯坑；明宣德年间（1426—1435年）立村，后分为东北、西新两村[1]。
1950年属金瓯乡，公社化时归东瓯大队，后来的1983年建西新乡，到1986年才改设村委会[1]。
概况[edit]
全村1.46平方千米，耕地1416亩，山地6090亩，11261人、2032户，分10个村民小组；2009年工农业总产值9659万元，设有3个开发区[1]。2017年10月被评为第一批广东省卫生村[1]。
