东坑社区是深圳市光明区凤凰街道的一个社区，原为公明镇的东坑村，处在公明、光明两个旧街道的交界，与塘尾、甲子塘、塘家、凤凰四个社区相邻[1]。村民约在600年前迁来定居，2004年7月改制为社区居民委员会[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村民大约六百年前迁到此地建村，居民以钟、黄两姓为主；村名则因四周是低矮的小山丘，站在高处看去如同一个个小坑[1]。1952年10月宝安县设7区71乡，东坑归第七区东周乡；1963年2月并入公明公社的东塘大队；1993年1月仍称村委会，但属宝安区公明镇；2004年7月实行城市化改制，改设东坑社区居民委员会，今归凤凰街道[1]。

地理环境[edit]

社区面积约0.8平方千米，东起龙大高速公路，西到茅洲河沿岸，南界在光明大道以北的高科技厂区，北面与将石社区的工业区相邻，以周家大道为界[1]。

人口民族[edit]

博雅地名网载，社区登记的户籍人口有270户684人，外来人口约两万，占全部人口的96.7%[1]。

经济[edit]

社区有企业254家，涉及木器家具、塑胶、五金、模具等行业[1]。街道办在2022年度总结附带的来年计划里，把东坑的土地整备利益统筹列为要配合落实的项目[2]；街道负责人在访谈中还说，东坑、塘尾等的返还用地要合作开发，以提供产业用地，并要盘活东坑的统建楼和低效用地[3]。

文化[edit]

东坑生态公园被列为光明区首批节水型公园；社区公园的健身器材完成智能化提升，也是全区首批[2]。长者饭堂在街道内最先建在甲子塘、塘尾和东坑三个社区，为60岁以上的老人提供助餐[2]。2022年3月，东坑社区被深圳市住房和建设局认定为「第一批深圳市绿色（宜居）社区」[1]。
