塘边村位于花桥乡西部，距松溪县城三十七公里，属老区基点村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子靠近古代设立的塘汛，即军事瞭望哨所，故名塘边。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村落源于宋代，隶属崇仁乡庆原里十八都。1935年设保，1949年改称村，归花桥乡。1950年属大路乡，1952年改属路桥乡，1958年5月又回到大路乡，同年10月这里改设大队，归东风公社的大路大队；1961年划入路桥公社，1966年改属花桥公社。1984年起大队改为村。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

松溪报恩寺位于村内，时代为清代，列为县级文物保护单位。[1]
