塘边村是广东省揭阳市普宁市池尾街道下辖的行政村，位于普宁市区西南部，属革命老区。民国初年有福建移民来此建村，村前有一口池塘，村因此得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
建国前属十赤乡的塘边村。1964年分立为塘边大队，1965年划归池尾公社，1984年改区设乡，1986年改为村，1990年为管理区，1999年定名塘边村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子东临广汕公路，聚落呈块状分布。主产水稻和甘薯，盛产油甘和橄榄。[1]
经济[edit]
村中有制作豆干、面条的传统，并有汽修厂、电器公司和服装等企业。[1]
2020年、2021年和2022年，塘边村列入淘宝村名单。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村西的凤山岩是革命文物保护点。[1]
文化[edit]
1985年，侨胞捐资建成小学教学楼一座。[1]
