院田村是广东省茂名市化州市播扬镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的西北部，辖24个村民小组。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网所载，早先是院田乡（含院田、牙七坡两处），此后名称依次为：院田大队（1962年）、院田乡（1983年）、院田村民委员会（1987年）、院田管理区办事处（1989年），1999年起复称村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
村民委员会自述（未注年份）：在册652户、3317人，村域面积3.1平方千米，耕地1236亩；种植的经济作物以蚕桑、水稻、香蕉为主，上一年农村经济总收入830万元。村里着力发展香蕉种植和种桑养蚕。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，该村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
