东坑村位于岚下乡境内，属高山平原地域，辖区面积约21.6平方千米，海拔544米，距乡政府约12公里。村内有11个自然村、15个村民小组，据博雅地名网载为729户、3043人。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村域林地约2.37万亩，其中毛竹山约1.8万亩，林木蓄积量较大；土壤为红泥土，适宜竹笋生长。[2]

经济[edit]

毛竹山和竹笋是村里的传统产业，多数村民外出务工，村内收入主要依托这些自然资源。[2]

村内埂头、坪科两个村民小组过去手工造土纸，全部工序靠手工完成，产品主要销往建瓯一带，多用于清明扫墓与七月半祭祖。[2]

村中逢农历三、八在街路组赶集。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

西坑通天大圣祭坛位于东坑村，建于明代，被公布为县级文物保护单位。[3]
